Hi… my name is Teaka,

Adopted September 19, 2016

When I grow up, I want to be a dog like my mom—playful but calm, eager to please, and fun-loving, too. And you know what? I think I’m off to a good start! Mom is a beautiful Border Collie mix, and she’s been a wonderful mother. Even though she was a stray when found, she gave all her babies excellent care and teaching. For instance, on a walk recently, one of my siblings got too far away. Mom didn’t panic or get mad, but she barked at him until we were together again. That’s the kind of smart, devoted dog I want to be! I’m a delightful female, black and white, now about 24 pounds, and if you make me yours, we can make each other happy for a long time to come!

When I grow up, I want to be a dog like my mom—playful but calm, eager to please, and fun-loving, too. And you know what? I think I’m off to a good start! Mom is a beautiful Border Collie mix, and she’s a wonderful mother. A stray when found, she provided all her babies with excellent care and teaching. For instance, out on a walk recently, my walker and I were too far ahead to suit Mom. She didn’t panic or get mad, but she barked at us until we were together again. That’s the kind of smart, devoted dog I want to be! I’m a delightful black and white male, now about 26 pounds, and if you make me yours, we can make each other happy for a long time to come!

Hi… my name is Dolly,

Adopted 11-25-16

I was a surprise guest who brought unexpected gifts. Put another way, I was a stray who appeared in my finders’ yard and proceeded to give birth to five puppies! That was on 5/27, and my babies were all so delightful that our finders kept two of them, while I came to TALGV with the other three. I continue to keep a mama’s eye on the youngsters while here—teaching by example things like how to walk on a leash—but sometimes when people notice how young-looking and svelte I am, they ask if I’m just a pup, too! Well, I’m 2 years old, about 48 pounds, a classy brown, tan and white beauty with countless happy fun-filled days ahead. Won’t you please come visit and see if we might be the perfect match!

Hi… my name is Marlo,

Adopted 12-16-16

Maybe some critters are meant to live alone, but that’s not me! (As far as I know, that’s not any dog!) I love being with people and do my best to please them. When I was lost, wandering around the Helmet Peak/Mission Road area, I hoped every day that someone would find me and let me be their friend. Finally, someone did and took me to their home, which they share with four Chihuahuas! Since they were full up in the dog department, I’m now a TALGV dog, where they say I’m a very sweet girl, a good walker on a leash, and just plain fun to be with. I’m a 2-year-old, 50-pound Staffie mix female, a beauty in brown and white, and I promise to love you forever if you make me yours.

Hi… my name is Lupe,

Adopted September 7, 2016

When I was lost on a local frontage road, I didn’t know whether to run as fast as I could, try to find a hiding place, or what? Before I’d solved that conundrum, a stranger came to my rescue. She brought me here, where the first major improvement was my super soft bed, which makes me feel comfy and safe. Next, I started making friends, letting people know that even though I’m little—just over 6 pounds—I enjoy being with them in a BIG way! Walks are good, playtime is fun, and I love to cuddle and listen to the heartbeat of the friend who holds me near. Maybe that friend could be you! I’m a sweet, 3-1/2-year-old Chihuahua mix female, and I promise to fit perfectly into your heart and your life.

Hi… my name is Koda,

Adopted October 1, 2016

People tell me my looks could stop traffic—my striking blue eyes and beautiful black/white/tan coat—and that’s kind of what happened. My rescuer was driving down a Sahuarita street, saw me and stopped to help. Since I had no tags, he used social media to try to find my people, but when no one came for me, he brought me here. He said I was an energetic dog who got along with other dogs at his house, not so much with his cats, and had lots of fun chasing balls. I can jump, too, so need supervision and a high fence when off-leash outside. I’m a 2-year-old Husky mix male, a slender 43 pounds, and through my bright blue eyes I see you and me in our exciting, fun future together.

Hi… my name is Bach,

August 30, 2016

My siblings and I already feel like little champs because we survived one mean experience. We were abandoned in a box—all five of us—and left next to a commercial dumpster. But before you even think about the bad things that might have happened, let’s move on to the important next chapter: We were rescued and brought to TALGV. Timid at first, we were unsure about the big wide world, and then they turned us loose in our run. Yahoo! We started running, wrestling, rolling around; most puppies know how to play, but I like to think we do it with style! I’m one of the boys, tan with a brindle back, 22 pounds and growing, and ready for the gloriously happy experience of meeting you! Won’t you please come see me today!
