Hi… my name is Jocko (aka Jack).

Adopted November 16, 2015

A super nice dog. That’s how my foster family describes me and I think they’re super, too. Most mornings, foster dad lets me jog with him, and then in the evenings, foster mom takes me for a walk. Yes, I’m a very active guy for an 11-year-old; my cheerful attitude keeps me young. In between jogging, walking and playing, I like to curl up for a quick nap, especially if a person is nearby because I just love being around people. I know lots of people-pleasing things, like “sit,” “stay,” “come,” and “down;” I’m totally housebroken, and I come with Free Vet Care for Life! Honestly, I’m just a little guy wanting to be loved. If you could be “the one” for me, please have TALGV call me so we can meet real soon.

Hi… my name is Raquel.

Adopted August 17, 2015

There’s not a whole lot to go on for my “story” because I just appeared at TALGV early one morning in May 2015, but when you meet me you won’t care one bit about where I’ve been and what I’ve done! Since there wasn’t room for me when I arrived, I was boarded at a kennel for a while, but everyone who met me knew that I would be a happy camper when I got into a home of my own. I’m a 45-pound, round about 2½-year-old yellow Lab mix (and you know how sweet and smart they are!), so take this opportunity to come meet me so we can talk about our future together!

Hi… my name is Girl (aka Missy).

Adopted August 12, 2015

There are moves, and then there are MOVES! And when my dad had to move to Malaysia for work, their regulations on bringing a dog into the country were just more than he wanted to put me through. Although he’s going to miss me to pieces, he knew that I’m such a sweetheart I’d capture someone else’s heart just like I did his. I used to go to work with him every day, so you know I’m super well behaved and trustworthy. He said that I love chew toys, but my favorite thing is to be in your lap, so I’m hoping there are lots of people out there who have laps that need filling and hearts that need warming, ‘cause that’s exactly what I was designed for!

Hi… my name is Blue.

Adopted August 13, 2015

Wouldn’t it be great if dogs always went along when their people moved? My buddy, Bali, and I think so. We lived together, but when our people moved, we didn’t get to go because the new place was smaller and there was no room for us.   Now we’re hoping to find new homes. I’m a 52-pound Heeler male, black, white and tan, and still young enough to have lots of energy and playfulness. Playing ball is one of my favorite things. I know the sit and outside commands, and would love to spend time with you learning more. I think the best thing in the world would be to have a truly forever home. If you have room in your heart and home for me, I would love to be your new best friend.

Hi… my name is Angel.

Adopted August 9, 2015

When I was on my own, without a human or a home, I lived under a bridge. Someone was feeding me, but I was always hungry and thin. And when I walked out on the road, trying to find something better, I had some dangerously close calls with cars. Then my life changed in a wonderful way. Today I’m at TALGV. Here, I’m learning what it is to be safe and cared for, and it’s a great feeling.  My sweet and loving nature can shine through now that I’m with friends. And with regular meals, I may soon weigh a bit more than my current 64 pounds. I’m a female St. Bernard mix, about 1-1/2 years old, and if you come for a visit, I’ll show you what a beautiful, fun companion I can be.

Hi… my name is Spock.

Adopted September 1, 2015

My brothers, McCoy and Kirk, and I were named after Star Trek characters because we’re out-of-this-world adorable! Well, that’s what we tell each other and I’m hoping you’ll agree. Here’s our short story (we’re only 2 months old, so you know it’s not long): A kind person found our mom and two other Chihuahua females. Turned out Mom was expecting us and when we arrived, that doubled the dog number to 6! Once old enough, we were brought to TALGV in hopes of finding happy homes for each of us. We do puppy things very well—eat, sleep, play, sleep more, play more—you get the idea. I’m 4-1/2 pounds, light tan, and if you have a big heart for a little guy like me, we could be happy together for a long time.

Hi… my name is Belle.

Adopted August 11, 2015

I’m a little dog with a big hope: May the third time be the charm for me. My first person had health issues and couldn’t keep me, and after a short time in another home, I came back to TALGV. I’m really hoping my next will be my forever home! At 9 pounds, I’m a black and brown Chihuahua, beautiful from my teeny toes to my not-as-teeny ears. I love to play and be friendly, but I’m bashful, too. If you can be patient while I’m feeling shy, we’ll soon have lots of fun together. I like to play with squeaky toys, a ball, and going for walks. I was born on Thanksgiving Day 2012, and if you’ll be my forever friend, I’ll be thankful for every day with you!

Hi… my name is Trefor.

Adopted January 23, 2016

I used to live where there were just too many dogs in one place. Now, I’m comfy at TALGV and grateful for the great care, but still dreaming of a home of my own. The best part of the dream is a person or family, someone I’ll share every day with—probably someone like you. I’ll do my part in our happy home, being the good dog who knows good behavior, and also a quick learner ready to learn lots more. I’m great on a leash and love the big outdoors, so walks will be fun for us, too. Best of all, I’ll build my world around you, making it my job to please you every day. I’m a 4-year-old male SharPei/Hound mix, 51 pounds, and am really hoping you come take me home today.

Hi… my name is Spectrum.

Adopted August 8, 2015

I looked like a “goner” when found sitting in the middle of of a busy road, unable to stand. Fortunately, when rescued, I was okay 30 minutes later. The doggie doctor said I was probably overheated and dehydrated. With proper attention, I am feeling great again. Somewhere along the line I was eating well because I’m kind of stocky at 14+ pounds on my Chihuahua-mix frame, but I’m still a little guy. I have a sleek black coat with tan markings, and at 3 years old, I’m happy to have fun and glad to take it easy, too. I know I was a lucky guy to be rescued from that rough life on the road, and now I’m all set to enjoy my second chance at life with you.
