I understand that losing my home wasn’t anyone’s fault—not mine or mom’s. She has a health issue and needed to move, and couldn’t take care of me anymore. So now I’m hoping that since I’m a friendly, grownup dog with a sweet disposition, some wonderful someone like you will give me a new forever home. I’ll give you my best: Will sit when you say to, walk beside you on the leash, and always remember my good house manners. And when we have our happy times—on walks, at play, and especially when you give me your love and attention—sometimes I’ll even smile (in my own way).
