Hi… my name is Bonnie,

Adopted December 21, 2015

Even lost and injured, I was my own sweet self. That’s what the man said who rescued me from Circle K. They said I stayed close for a few days and would just curl up by the door and wait. Maybe it was because of the wound on my leg that needed stitches. Anyway—and thank goodness!—he brought me to TALGV. Here, my wound was tended and has healed, and I’ve made friends with some great dogs and people. I have those Heeler qualities of being smart, loyal and energetic, and the volunteers say sweetness is my strong suit. I sure hope that helps me find someone to love. I’m a 1-year-old female, 39 pounds, with a gorgeous brindle and white coat. Could you take me home and change my life forever?

ROSCOE is cute and sweet 7-pound, 7-year-old Yorkie/Peke mix boy who needs a new home for economic reasons. He loves to walk, run, and play with his two tennis balls. Although he has lots of energy, Roscoe is crate trained and is very calm in the house. He has been neutered shots are up to date. Roscoe would be a great companion dog for someone who likes to have fun. He gets along with other dogs, but needs to be an only dog since he demands a lot of attention; older children would be okay. There is no adoption fee. If you would welcome Roscoe into a loving home as part of your family, please call Mary Ellen between 8 AM and 8 PM at 520-603-4441.

Hi… my name is Hannah,

Adopted February 25, 2016

A lovely young family took me in when I was lost, and even though they couldn’t keep me, in a short time we got to know each other pretty well. They said I was a “great family dog, especially with kids.” TALGV volunteers say that’s because I’m beautiful inside and out—a gentle, friendly and loving dog, who just happens to have a gorgeous Husky coat and face. Sometimes I’m shy at first, but I’m also alert and intelligent. When people are kind and friendly, I’ll soon warm up. And once we’re friends, I’m great for playtime, cuddling, or just hanging out. Could we meet soon? I’m a 4-year-old female, with a soft coat that’s light red and white, and a big hope in my heart that you will be my forever person.

Hi… my name is Lady,

Adopted February 7, 2016

When my family moved out of town, they couldn’t take me with them. But when the door closed between them and me, a window opened at TALGV. I look out that window now, hoping someone will come to meet me up close and personal. If you’re that someone, you’ll see that I’m quiet and calm, but am also very friendly and playful. If you like the toss-a-toy game, I’ll fetch and bring it back to you. I’m a 4-year-old female, a Whippet/Canaan Dog mix with a soft tan coat, weighing about 29 pounds on a slender frame. I know basic commands, how to walk on a leash, my family said I’m good with young people, and probably my best feature is knowing the importance of loving each other forever. Please come for a visit today!

Hi… my name is Lenny,

Adopted January 3, 2016

My friend, Jenny, and I were two lost Shepherds! Being together was better than being alone, but we were still lost and you know what that can mean for a dog—hunger, thirst, and very possibly danger. Fortunately, a kind stranger took us in and then brought us to TALGV. In that short time, she could tell that I’m a very loving and affectionate fellow. You can probably see it in my eyes; that sincere good-natured look is genuine! I’m black and tan with white markings, a Shepherd mix male, about 2 years old. Like most Shepherds, I’m eager to learn and really enjoy being close to my person, so we could have lots of great times together. If you agree, won’t you please tell TALGV that we want to meet each other real soon!

Hi… my name is Robin,

Adopted December 23, 2015

When I was lost, I tried finding a home by just walking into someone’s yard. They were kind to me there, but they already had all the critters they could handle. My next stop was TALGV, and I think my chances of finding my forever home are much better here. I’m naturally friendly, so I enjoy seeing visitors and especially love walk time. No need to ask me twice to have fun—I’m a young and energetic girl who can run and play with ease. I still have things to learn, but I’m so eager to please, I’m sure you could teach me. At 40 pounds, with a shiny black and white coat and a happy disposition, I just know I’m perfect for somebody. Please let it be you!

Hi… my name is Anya,

Adopted December 5, 2015

I was alone in the desert until a kindhearted family found me. I really liked the little girl who lived there. They said I’m “great with kids,” and had fun playing with the family dogs, too, except the one that didn’t like me! In fairness, I didn’t like their cats. One other thing they noticed: I’m in need of love. Training, too, but we know training goes best with lots of love. I’m a 40-pound female Heeler/Hound mix, black, white and brindle in color, with bright eyes to show how much I’d love to see you. All rooms were full when I arrived, so I’m in a boarding kennel, but TALGV can arrange for us to meet. Just give them a call, and then just imagine how happy we’ll be to see each other.

Hi… my name is Dudley,

Comes with Free Vet Care for Life.

My people had wonderful things to say about me, but due to some human health issues, they could no longer take care of me. I’d lived with them my whole life—all 8 years—and once you get to know me (I can be shy at first), you’ll understand why they described me as a sweet and loyal guy. I’m a good size, about 70 pounds, and still strong, but very used to living indoors all the time. With a good walk every day for exercise, I’m simply a great house dog. Plus, I come with Free Vet Care for Life! Surely a strikingly handsome black and tan Swiss Mountain dog who’s content keeping you company will be a great addition to your life. If you agree, let’s get acquainted real soon.

Hi… my name is Midget,

Adopted November 21, 2015

I lived in a home with three other dogs, but one of the other dogs and I just could not get along. She was there first, so I’m the one who needs to find a new place. I’m a Heeler/Lab mix female, and although I’m on the small side, just about 26 pounds, my family said I’m energetic and strong. If you know Heelers, you won’t be surprised to know I’m hardworking, too; I’m happy with a job, including the one that calls for being your loyal and brave companion. I’m 2 years old, black with white and tan markings, and I’d love the chance to work hard at making you glad you took me home. I’m in foster care, so please let our TALGV friends know that we’d like to meet real soon!
