Hi… my name is Mary,

Adopted July 12, 2016

Not long ago, my friend (probably brother) Paul and I were little puppies with big worries! At just 3 months old, 5 and 7 pounds, we were more than lost—we were lost in the desert. A rancher said we’d been there for 3 days and nights. I can tell you we were very hungry and thirsty, and counting our lucky stars to have been found in time. My finder described me as appearing “tough” but becoming very sweet when held, and I’m learning to feel safe now. Indeed, I’m learning lots of new things—how to play, cuddle, go on walks, and be happy with your person. As a Chihuahua mix, I’ll always be little, but life has given me a great big heart. Won’t you let me give you all my love?

Hi… my name is Nimbus,

Adopted June 23, 2016

I came to TALGV with three other 6-month-old dogs, so I’ve had good company. We were not as lucky in the home department, though, because our original family couldn’t keep us. So we’re here now, where each of us can find a forever home. I’m a Lab/Terrier mix male, about 41 pounds, with a handsome buff-colored coat. At just 6 months, I‘m still learning, but I already know I love to play with balls and toys, get along well with others, and was gentle and tolerant when given the chance to be with children. Home is a dream now, but I just know that one magical day, someone wonderful will look at me and say, “I want to meet that dog,” and then we’ll both fall in love.   Could my wonderful someone be you?

So we’re here now, where each of us can find a forever home. I’m a Lab/Terrier mix female, about 32 pounds, with a beautiful, very light cream-colored coat. At 6 months, I still have things to learn but already know how to play with balls and toys, get along well with others, and was gentle and tolerant when given the chance to be with children. Hi… my name is Cali Ann.

Adopted September 16, 2016

If you like playful, happy times along with some gentle, quiet moments too, we’ll be great friends! In my first family, I was a comfort to a 17-year-old with autism; he would talk to me and I helped him calm down. Unfortunately, they very sadly had to give me up when a health issue arose in the family, and then my next person had to leave me due to a cross-country move! So I’m here, often playing with my doggy run-mate, and hoping every day for the someone who’ll give me my forever home. I’m a 2-1/2-year-old Shepherd mix female, about 47 pounds (think small Shepherd), who knows basic commands, has been friends with children, and endeared myself to my people. If you can be my happily-ever-after someone, I’m ready to be yours.

Hi… my name is Dove,

Adopted June 15, 2016

I’ll share the sad part of my story first: I was abandoned, left behind when my person moved. And there may have been more cause for sadness before that, but I’m okay now—safe and cared for at TALGV—so let’s move on quickly to the good stuff. The walks, cozy blankets and soft bed here are great, and best of all I love the kindnesses—the gentle touches and sweet words. They tell me to say more about myself, so here goes: I’m 5 years old, a luscious cream color with charcoal highlights, female, and little. I hope you like little, cause I can’t really get bigger. And the main thing: I’ll give my whole heart to the person who adds true love and kindness to my life forever. Please say that’s you.

Tux

Hi… my name is Tux,

Adopted July 6, 2016

I’m just a young pup, so eager to be loved, but nobody wanted me. In the nick of time, a wonderful lady rescued me from a terrible fate and brought me to TALGV. One of my hips had been injured, so my new friends here are taking care of that, plus they’re agreeing with what my rescuer said about me–I’m very loving, intelligent and a really fast learner! At 5 months, I know “sit, stay, and fetch,” am leash trained, and was well behaved with my rescuer’s family. Fun things I’d love to share with you include walks, playing with balls, and hugs. I’m a Lab/Staffie mix male, 32 pounds, black with a white star on my chest, and your love could turn my world around. Are you the one who’ll want me forever?
